This lighter is laser etched and the design will never rub off. **Q: Does the lighter with the blue gem have the design on both sides?** A: I have been looking at the lighters for some tie now and NONE of the lighters have anything on the back, they are all just a polished metal. **Q: Does it come with fuel already in it** A: No. That would be dangerous to ship. This is the first Zippo I've bought for myself. I've always 'borrowed' my family and friends lighters for most of my life. So if your a light bummer/thief like me, you'll be shocked to learn it does arrive empty so be sure to buy fluid if you don't have any (thats what I get for my greedy hands). The lovely image of pop cultures favorite deep one is laser engraved, not painted on. So it's not only long lasting but very tactile as well. Besides that it's your standard Zippo. It lights great, it stays lit in any winds below a class 3 hurricane, lid locks into an open position, and all the parts are replaceable (flint, striker, wick, etc). If you use a lighter regularly, do yourself a favor and ditch the disposals and upgrade to a Zippo. Don't like Cuthulu?
