I have them holding some quite big & heavy drawers on a chest of drawers which used to constantly slide open but no longer since I installed these. I’ve found them to be pretty effective. You might find it useful to put one at both the top and the bottom of the doors to ensure they’ll stay closed. These are not that expensive so surely it’s worth giving it a go. Used just one per door and it held fine . ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install and works well *by B***O on May 22, 2021* I recently built a large station for a new Bosch Glide miter saw -- the station's base has two cabinets each incorporating 4 large drawers on full-extension slides. The saw provides quite a bit of vibration which was causing the drawers to drift open. Because of the ever-present sawdust, I didn't want to use any kind of mechanical drawer latches. These magnetic catches are small, very straightforward to install, and provide a surprising amount of holding force. I used the included screws to fasten them in place them rather than relying on the adhesive pads. Installing these isn't rocket science, but it does require at least a modicum of basic hand and tool skills. My cabinets and drawer fronts are all made of 3/4" cabinet-grade plywood. I located the magnet and striker plates by eye, traced out the mounting holes, and then drilled 1/16" pilot holes for the screws. The screws went in smoothly and hold tightly, the magnets engage with the matching plates with a pleasing metallic click, and release with just the right amount of firm pull. A good, simple product that does what it promises at a very reasonable price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great buy *by T***. on April 18, 2023* The media could not be loaded. They are exactly as advertised. These are small and thin. Even with that they have a very powerful magnet. It comes with two sets. Each set consisting of one metal plate, on magnetic metal plate, four screws and each plate also has adhesive sticky pads. I think you could probably get away with just using the sticky pads although I did go ahead and use the four screws. I was using it for a nightstand with a door that wouldn't stay shut. It works great and holds the door closed. Also it looks good as the design is so flat. It's not even noticeable that they're there. Even though they are a powerful magnet it is not too hard to open either. The company got this one just right. Would buy again if I need to.
