Q: How sharp are the pins please? I’m looking for some pedals I can wear with casual shoes but I don’t want them to damage the sole.

The pins aren't sharp. They are rounded. My Son and Husband wear everyday shoes with these pedals, no damage to their shoes.

Q: Are these pedals a good grip in the wet, pedals I have at present are terribly dangerous when wet as your feet can slip, especially when pushing hard?

this may be your shoes ! avoid leather soles and ideally buy some cycling shoes.
