It actually has two types of leather and is very comfortable to use because it's not the tiny, cheaper board some offer. And then you have the problem of polishing a large knife poorly on it.I've used it to polish even the largest kitchen knives from the Henckels set for 150 GBP. They're one of the best sets for the average user. I polish them back to their original shape with a polisher.I polish my knives every 2 months and they still stay sharp.
