Review: Ackee and Salt Fish Are Great Together. - Value for the Money, Great Taste Easy to Prepare and Quality Product.
Review: If you’re even looking, JUST GET IT! - If you’ve been to Jamaica and had their famous national dish Ackee and salt fish, if you’re like me, you got back home and you were craving it. I splurged on the can. I think I got on sale for 14 but you’ll probably end up paying $20 for it. But it’s definitely worth it. It brings back your Jamaican trip. Google a favorite recipe like I did and make it just like they say. It’s really good. And don’t worry if you don’t have salt fish. You can use cod or some other ingredient like I used home caught bass. Crappie is also good. . And it’s really good. You can alter the seasonings to your taste. But I love the Ackee as it gives an almost like firm scrambled egg taste. It’s so good and this brand is awesome and not mushy.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the ackee already cooked or do i have to cook it ?**
A: There’s no need to cook the ackee. I drain the water from the can, add some hot water and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I then drain it and add to the pot with the saltfish and seasonings. However, it would be okay to just drain and add. That’s what’s on the instruction for the recipe on the label.

**Q: Is this product Kosher?**
A: I dont know for sure but this is only the ackee fruit/vegetable cleaned and canned in brine basically. You could certain;y prepare it so it is kosher based on the utensils you use and what you add to it for meat/fish or spices.

**Q: Is ackee illegal in the USA?**
A: No it’s not illegal

**Q: How many cans is and order?**
A: Specify the amount of cans you would like in the order
