Those albums were originally released back in the mid 60s, when The Pretty Things had a "garage band" sound. They sound a little like early Yardbirds or Stones, except that there is a harder edge to these songs. It's outrageous that this band never rec'd any real airplay in the US. They were very original and their first several albums are must-haves for any serious rock fan.I would recommend getting this set instead of buying the discs separately. It's a nice attractive package and the sound is great, not muddy or muffled. For some reason they decided to put the band's second album cover on the front, with the first album cover on the back. I guess they thought the "Get the Picture?" album cover looked more attractive?At any rate if you like mid-60s garage rock you'll definitely dig this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fifty Years of Non-Conformance *by L***L on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 10, 2015* A wonderful glimpse of a part of my youth that I never had the chance to hear until now. Keep in mind that this material is from the mid 60's during the Beatles, Kinks, Rolling Stones heydays. The guys were poorly named to cross the Atlantic and too frightening live for most of the British music establishment. The fact that they still exist and have just released a new cd is a credit to their talent and persistence. Some of my favorite all time music was made by this band.
