I don't bother with the software as prefer to use VGA connection straight to projector because less to go wrong. Enabled me to use a lot more paper based tasks in lectures without the faff of putting together powerpoints, scanning, etc. Great for showing realia to learners as well. Makes worries about dodgy IT support letting me down a thing of the past: just need a power socket. Only improvement I would recommend is that it comes with a carry case, perhaps as an optional extra, as it I could see it getting bashed and bust in transport. It can be used as a webcam but it can also be used as a regular document camera.
