At age 70 this was the first bra that I have loved!After I washed it, it fit perfectly.Be sure to wash and dry it before you 'give up' on itbecause when I first tried it on, it was sloppy and ill-fitting, but - cotton shrinks.I love the fact that it is so soft and has no elastic or boning.One more lovely design feature on this organic cotton bra,is that the bottom drawstring can be pulled thru the casing,ruffling gently and snugging the bottom of the bra, up against the ribcage for a perfect fit.A 'design genius' made this bra for comfort.I can take it off over my head without untying it except that bottom drawstring tie,so it is a no-fuss item. I typically wear a Wacoal 42DDD & got the Cottonique 42DD -- largest size offered. The cup area is just about right; any smaller would not be enough coverage. Seems like a true 42DD.- Comfort/configuration: I keep the top two ties fastened & slip the bra on over my head; less fuss than tying 3 ties each time. I like that the bottom tie can be cinched a little for a lounge wear effect or a lot for more support along the bottom where an underwire might typically be found. I was expecting the bottom tie band to rub along the rib cage, but it's not overly constrictive; definitely more comfortable than an underwire band, IMO.- Material: the cotton material is soft & comfortable against the skin. Yes, the material is a tad thick, like a heavy cotton t-shirt or top. (Ideally, this design in a thinner, more delicate cotton would be a dream bra for people with sensitive skin. Cottonique, if you're reading, please consider a thinner cotton for your products, underwear too!)- Style: As depicted in photo. Nice & stylish. Due to the material thickness, the outline of the bra is visible under fitted/snug clothing, and the front ties are also moderately bulky. This is a very good product and very comfy. However, the sizing is tricky. I hope my sizing information is useful.I am 5'5" tall, 161lbs and carry my weight around above the hip. I am fit, but too heavy for my size, according to the statistics. The best fitting bra I have ever owned was a wire-free 34DD made by Bali. My measurements are 331/2 (ribs) 40 (bust). I ordered a 36B because I used to wear a 38A. Bra sizes are so confusing, but the 36B was a sister size. I'm saying it's fits somewhat small because if my ribs are 331/2" a 36 should be more than sufficient to go around me. But the gap in the front where the ties come together is at least 2". I was expecting the band drawstring to be closer to 36" around. The actual measurement is 31" and that is a big difference.
