These are small, handy freezer packs that you can stuff into grocery bags or lunch boxes. Chemical formulation is correct so that they slowly soften and absorb heat from your foods, rather than stealing cold away from your foods and causing them to feel less cold. I'd recommend that you individually slip each packet into a heavy duty zippy-locking sandwich sized bag, to protect the plastic. Otherwise, the plastic is not thick enough to survive multiple re-freezes. If you use these once apiece only as give-away packs, this may not be a problem for you. I've re-used mine over twenty times each so far, as grocery shopping helpers when I buy frozen treats! That's a lot of calories!

Well, I wasn't expecting the large, heavy package on my doorstep. The packs are a nice size but surprisingly heavy. They freeze rock hard. (Not a complaint.) They sweat as they warm up because they are plastic covered. (Also, not a complaint - just a heads up.) This first use I'm not putting the pack in an insulated cooler, just a quilted bag that's not zipped shut. It seems to keep my lunch cool and it's a very slow melt even under the less than ideal condition. Storing this many will be a bit of a pain for me but that's how they came. If you need them to lie flat be sure you freeze them that way.I think I'll like them fine.

These are a great idea! They are about 4" x 4", and don't take up a lot of room like the larger ice blocks that you fill with water do. Because of their low profile, you can just lay them flat in any nooks and crannies of your freezer, and when you need them, just take out a few for your cooler. I have found them to be longer lasting than ice, and they hardly sweat at all! I only had one that leaked, and it was probably because I had wedged it in just a little too tightly. But, because the material inside is some sort of gel, it just oozed out a tiny bit, and I almost didn't notice it. I have used theses many times over the past few months, and I really do love them! Very good value; have saved me many dollars for ice and so much less trouble!

Although this product did do well when traveling, the odor of this product is very intense. I called the company to find out why the odor is so strong, they advised me that it is not the norm and resolve it with amazon. I had to move the box from my laundry room because of the smell and also when I open the freezer that smell is still there and strong. I would not recommend this product. I will be contacting amazon with this issue.

One already had a hole in it on arrival. Slept with another one and it leaked during the night. Material is not as tough as it should be.

Don't waste your money on these. They stay frozen a decent length of time IF the thin plastic baggie doesn't get a hole in it. Two of the ones I received had holes in them right out of the box. Another developed a split after its first use. They're full of this clear, slimy gel BTW. Do NOT buy these. There are far better options like Nu Ice out there.

Small, compact ice packs ideal for lunch boxes, sore muscles and coolers. Used 6 per 50qt ice chest (2) to help keep frozen fish iced for trip back from Baja to Sacramento; flight and down time at LAX totaled 11 hours. Got home and fish still frozen and ice packs barely melted. Great stuff. And a great price for 18 packs. (I know my new "5-day" ice chest played a part in all this, but these ice packs stay frozen longer than my blue ice or any other brand of ice packs I've used.
