Build quality appears to be heavy duty, no issues with my heavy sport bike. I will also use it to put the bike on when I need to clean wheels or work on the chain. This device is basically a tool for motorcycle maintenance. It will not work as a means of converting a bicycle into an in-place exercise bike. I have mine placed on top of a rubber mat. Its does not move. I have had no issues from the time I bought mine who is few years now. This little device did a great job of allowing me to clean the chain and rear tire without walking the bike down the street. Yes, even the little Rebel tire walked along the roller as I spun it, but not enough to be a problem. Simple physics will tell anyone that a tire in a lean will walk along the roller as it spins. To avoid it you would have to stand the bike upright which is not a realistic option. I was simply able to grab the rear fender and lift the tire back over for further spinning. The roller is durable and lightweight. It stores out of the way when not in use which is great for a cramped garage. There are rubber feet in the corners to keep it in place on asphalt or concrete. Bottom line: Buy it if you're not in need of something more substantial.
