Review: My Bose 700 Satalite Review - I went for the ultra sound bar and the subwoofer. Yes it's pricey, but got them on sale. I was waiting for the satellite speakers to go on sale, but they never did. So I bit the bullet and got them too because although the sound bar and subwoofer sound great on their own, I felt something was missing especially when listening to music, and I do listen to a lot of music. I have an extensive collection. I will say that they do make a difference in the sound of the system. They definitely improve the soundstage, as well as the Dolby Atmos experience when watching movies, etc. They sound good. I did put the cloth over them when I ran the adaptec setup. I actually feel the volume of these is quite sufficient in fact I've had to tone them back a little bit. They are not meant for bass, but these add to that all around you sound filling the room. I had a 9.1 setup at my last house so I am familiar with how the rear speakers sometimes are not in the mix at all and other times are extremely in the mix. So IMO, it's all in what you want out of the system. This is not a quadrophonic stereo like we had in the 70's where all 4 speakers blasted out equally. But for a mostly unobtrusive setup, this is very good. The Bose App let's you tweek the volume easily. I tried the $299 one but couldn't get the better sound I wanted. Sound was low and only project in Movies with 5.1 for the $299. I returned it and swap out to this one, though spent an extra $200 ($499 vice $299), better sound and well worth the extra $200 should you want to get the best out of your Soundbar+Bass speakers. Sound was awesome and loud from all (Music, movies, TV etc.) Hope I answered your question....Not an affiliate to Bose but a happy customer. **Q: If this is a wireless speaker, why the wireless receiver included? Thx.** A: These speakers are not 100% wireless. There is a cable (with also includes a wireless receiver) that plugs into the back of the speaker and then to an outlet. The signal goes from the television via HDMI or Optical to the Bose Sound Bar. The Sound bar transmits the signal to the wireless receiver. Then the sound travels though the cable to the speaker. **Q: Is it best to situate these in the middle of the wall (from front to back) or at the back of the room?** A: I have mine in the back of the room. They sound awesome. They are 360 deg speaker so you’d think they would work fine in the middle. These speakers are very nice and work well in the back of the room **Q: Can you connect these to any reciever?** A: You know I am not sure?
