I own almost every copy and always dreamed of having digital versions that were more portable, safe from dust and dampness and easier to magnify.That being said, there are a couple different ways to have a digital copy. One is Amazon's method, which is like a PDF, and the other is an App-based type, which you can use on your iPad (sorry, but I don't know if this is available for Android devices).My preferred format is Amazon's standard PDF type. The main reason being that I like to turn my iPad in portrait orientation and read my books and magazine in a larger format, just like the print version. The Amazon version will resize itself automatically and there is actually much less need to magnify stuff.The Bead & Button App won't allow this. You read in landscape mode only, and while you can magnify, in certain areas, the magnification area is constrained, which makes the experience somewhat disappointing, Also, some content requires a left-to-right swipe, while other content has a scroll icon and wants you to move up and down through it. It's awkward in that way, because the experience is not consistent across all the pages.You can, however, get a free sample with the app and see if its more to your liking. I took a chance and downloaded a copy on my Kindle Fire HD and was totally surprised that the Kindle format works great with this. The photos are crisp and clear and you can enlarge them to show the details. The colors are stunning. The issue I picked had beginner projects as well as some amazing advanced ones. This magazine would appeal to anyone interested in learning about beading. It has clear instructions and tutorials for beginners. Some of the instructions include pictures. The projects are not just average, run-of-the-mill type. They were innovative and appealing. If you are an expert beader, you will find plenty of inspiration. If you were hesitant to try a magazine like this on Kindle Fire, go ahead and give it a go. You'll find that you enjoy it just as much as having the actual paper magazine--but if you want to save it, you don't need any space on your shelf at home! Awesome for crafters. So if you are not willing to take the time or energy for tedious projects; Bead and Button might not be for you.
