I was going to take a quick taste and chuck (that is how low my expectations were) And the first tiny bite was uneventful and then I remembered that a reviewer had mentioned a small squeeze of lemon. I am not quite sure what happened after my second pressed cod roe sandwich but I do remember thinking I need another can of this stuff.... Sadly it is to expensive for more frequent sandwich's but this stuff is really good Review: WTF - WTF is this! Bought many cans over the years, including from desertcart, and hitherto exactly the same as bought in UK before we immigrating to the US. Has been unavailable for a year or so, so being overjoyed to see it available and bought it again. Normally would have bought 4, 6, 8 cans but as the price was ridiculously high (thankfully) bought just one. Today, we starred it our favorite recipe for it and is was absolutely aweful! Wet, soggy, and devoid of texture and taste that we have enjoyed over 40 years.
