It’s now been tested in both rain and sunshine, and it’s great for both. The C shape handle is quite small, I can barely fit my hand into it. I don't think it's designed for a man's hand. The purpose of the C shaped handle is to allow you to insert your hand to the wrist and be able to use that same hand while using your phone, etc... but if you can't fit your hand through... The shaft isn't very long, so if you're tall and want to use the C shaped handle around your wrist you will need to hold your arm higher than normal or the umbrella becomes a hat. When opened the umbrella is almost flat, as opposed to the curvature they normally have, so in the rain, etc, it will need to be held at a steeper angle.
