Review: Very useful in prepared students for grade level math - The Math 4 Today workbook is very helpful in meeting the mathematical academic needs for the grade level. I have been using the workbooks with 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. The book doesn’t cover everything but is one of my favorite tools to use with students. The daily questions for the first four days is a great way to introduce the topic and the fifth day assessment pages help narrow down the level of comprehension of the material. My only problem is that I can’t seem to find the same type of book for grades 6-8. If anyone has found a similar version for higher grade levels please let me know. We give him to days per day and ... *by C***N on October 4, 2016* My son is in 2nd grade and can do this book just fine. We give him to days per day and he enjoys it. It's straight forward math, no guidance to the math, mostly drills, but there is good pacing and lots of variation between boxes so kids don't get bored. I also like that they repeat ideas for additional practice across the days. Again, no repeat math problems but lots of repeat concepts for additional drilled practice. I really love this book . I have 2 kids. My daughter is in 4th grade and doing the 4th grade level math, 5th grade level language arts. My son is in 2nd grade doing 3rd grade math and 2nd grade language arts. I have them do two days worth of pages per day and this is a good pace for them. They will be done with the book before the end of the year and I will be moving them to the next level. All this is in addition to what they do in school. This is to give you a point of reference on the degree of difficulty, as I see it is mentioned in other posts.
