Review: Larger than expected & my pup is secure, she loves it! - This is perfect! My wiener dog is 19 lbs. 16” long, neck to bottom and 9” tall from back to floor. I ordered the Medium & she has lots of extra room! She is secure & even when I tried bending over she was fine, snug & safe. Fabric is like a lightweight canvas on the outside & lightweight sweatshirt on the inside. Soft but appears to be durable. The pocket is large enough to hold a passport & smaller phone with a Velcro closure. But there is plenty of room to add additional items of needed in with your pet. I received this in less than 24 hours from ordering. It does have a large plastic buckle that may get bothersome so I am going to put a seatbelt pad on it to add additional comfort ☺️
Review: Save my dog from size 12 Jimmy Choos. - My dachshund, Spencer weighs 25lbs and is 11 years old. He generally walks everywhere, but gets tired after a mile or so. I decided to take him with me to the Los Angels AIDS Walk, 2019, which includes 5 miles of walking, so I bought this bag to put him in after he got tired. I figured it was ideal because it wasn’t hard to lug around when I wasn’t using it. To be honest, he is a little big for it, but it was so helpful that day that I’m not even mad. He doesn’t appear to be uncomfortable, just heavy! I introduced it to him at home in short intervals so that he wouldn’t be scared of it. He really seemed to like it, and on the day of the event, I was able to put him in it while I stood in the opening ceremonies crowd. That was an unexpected bonus, because I could watch the entertainment without worrying that someone would step on him (you do NOT want a drag queen to trip on your dachshund). He got tired on the walk as expected, and went happily into the bag. The downside, of course, is that a 25.5 lb bag is a bit uncomfortable to haul around, especially in the LA heat, but it beats holding him outright for 4 miles. Plus I could put my wallet and water bottle in it with him. Since then we have used it a few times to chill him out when he gets freaked out away from home. Like at Christmas when he could not stop fighting with our cousin’s pit bull.... we just shoved him in the bag and he calmed down. It would be perfect for a smaller dog, especially if you take your dog a lot of places.

**Q: First two feedbacks indicate use for 20-25 lb dogs.  Are they referencing this product for 15-17 lbs?**
A: I have a shih tzu that weighs about 12-13lbs. I would not go any smaller for her. 
Honestly, any heavier like 20+lbs would be very hard to handle in this carrier, IMO

**Q: How do you do the adjustable strap so it doesn't slide?**
A: Feed the strap back through the other side of the slide---or put a safety pin in the strap to hold it in place.

**Q: What type of closure does it have if any‽**
A: No closure. It’s like a pouch. There is a clip to clip to your pet’s collar.

**Q: Is it washable**
A: I don't know if technically it is washable but I have cleaned mine twice on the gentle cycle and had no issues.

He got tired on the walk as expected, and went happily into the bag. I bought this sling to carry my French Bulldog puppy on longs walks, which it works great for. He is 3 months old and about 10 lbs. I can easily carry him for 30-40 minutes with no problem. He loves to sit in the sling and watch the world go by as momma does all the leg work :) when he gets tired he can curl up and take a nap. One of the best uses I have found for this sling is how it has helped us bond and kept me sane while working from home and trying to manage a new puppy. I put the sling on, put puppy in sling, grab my coffee, sit at my desk, and start work, he will fall asleep in the sling for hours. He will move around and stretch, change positions and I don't have to worry about him falling off my lap. Bonus, I know where he is at all times! Really it has been a lifesaver with the whole Covid-19 and trying to work. I introduced him to the sling by placing it on the chair next to me and putting him on top of it. I didn't try to put him in it at first, I just introduced him to it. Next, I put it on the chair and pulled it up around him, but didn't carry him, just let him get the feel for being cocooned within the sling. After that it was just an easy move to being mobile. The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars is the bag had a terrible smell when it originally arrived, but after airring out that went away. Also, I could not figure out how to use the safety clip, although I do not think I would use it, when we are out walking he is always under my control.
