This book actually goes hand in hand with setting repair, and you'll find some of the same rings in both books, but Ring Repair covers sizing/etc, and Setting Repair covers the setting portion of that ring. Therefore, there is no real overlap. Rings are by far the most frequent repair, and you probably already know why: people gain and lose weight, so there will be frequent resizes. That's not nearly all this book covers though. Super helpful! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Introduction Into Ring Repairs *by L***E on July 7, 2012* I've been a custom jeweler for a while now, but long before that I was a repair technician at a very high volume shop. This book is an excellent place for an apprentice to get started. It gives some basic outlines and even comes with the JA Quality Assurance placard for ring repairs. Overall the descriptions and the photos are of a high quality in that regard. However, I do think more detailed instructions and a more varied approach to the way you could go about doing these repairs would have been a great addition.
