    okay gloves for the price

I've had these gloves for a little over a year now and I thought I would write a review for those interested in buying new gloves. These were my first pair of boxing gloves and when I did my research on boxing gloves these seemed to be okay. Usually when I buy things I like to go see what I'm buying so I went to my local sporting good stores and tried some of the gloves that they had. The local stores seemed to carry the cheap gloves but not the high end gloves. I did see the everlast protex2 that were not the evergel kind and I tried it at the store. It seemed like it was okay at the time but it lacked in wrist support. When these gloves arrived I was in love with them. They did what it was suppose to do - protect my hands. Initially the wrist protection on these aren't that good but you get use to them (at least for me). I only used these gloves on the heavy bag about an average of once to twice per week for a year. These gloves really didn't give me any problems until about a month or so ago. I started getting pains in my knuckles/fingers. I checked out the gloves and where the knuckle area is the padding was flat. Basically the padding had disappeared in that area but there was padding around the finger part of the glove. So all the pressure was going to my fingers and bending my fingers back which was causing the pain. These are okay gloves if you're not a really hard hitter but for a heavy hitter I would recommend getting gloves that are at least $80+. For me I didn't want to spend $150+ for names like winning, grant, cleto reyes so I went with a muay thai brand glove which are about $100. I did read some reviews online and lots of reviews say that muay thai gloves are pretty high quality for the price. Some reviews say some of the muay thai gloves are on par with grants and better than cleto reyes. If you're a casual boxer and hit with light to medium force these everlasts are okay gloves but if you box 3-5 times a week and hit hard you should consider something a bit more pricier. Everlast gloves are usually less than average quality unless you get their high end gloves.

    Not too bad overall

*by K***A on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 29, 2015*

I liked them overall. I am 200lbs and in 6 months my punches became even more powerful. My wrists get really sore. Wrist support for my size is weak. Wraps(Velcro) on these gloves suck for good, they torn half way through after about 2 months of training or so. So Everlast's quality is not as great as it probably used to be back in the days. Again overall these gloves were like a loyal friend to me. My friend stitched the wraps(Velcro) and they are still apart actually. After 6 months my gloves smell just far above horrible. However this would apply to just any pair of boxing gloves out there and if you really do work out.I just got myself a pair of Twins Special and there is no going back ever. What I can suggest is if you want a good pair of Everlast gloves make sure you get one that are made of real leather + you might want to get a model that's like over $100 to get real good quality. Stick to real leather and maybe more expensive(not so much more expensive) gloves. I wish my trainers told me that when I first started. So research on Twins, Fairtex, Venum(maybe), Title, Hayabusa and good luck!

A little disappointed with the wrist protection this glove has, doesn't feel much any different than the regular $20 everlast gloves, although the inside of the gloves are comfortable and has a little more padding..... The measurement from my wrist to tip of middle finger is 8 inches long, i bought the 16oz X-Large pair and they fit pretty well. The appearance of the gloves are awesome with the two tone (black&grey), if you look good you feel good, you train good lol. Oh yeah one more thing, even though the gloves say EVERCOOL which is suppose to keep the gloves fresh i suggest that if you get these gloves go to the grocery store and buy a box of cheap green tea bags and use 2 tea bags/week (1 inside each pair) after every use to reduce the odor build up inside these $40 gloves. Thank you for reading :)(IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR TOP NOTCH WRIST SUPPORT AND YOU ARE BETWEEN 100-160LBS, I SUGGEST GETTING THE RIVAL FITNESS BAG GLOVES-14oz WHICH ARE JUST $4-$7 MORE AND IS ALSO PRIME SHIPPING)-only reason i did not get the RIVAL FITNESS BAG GLOVES is due to me being a heavyweight and the gloves only go to 14oz.
