What im saying is not knowibg the chemical composition of whats inside it could be affected by humidity, dry air, or tons of variables. Also factor in the amount of ants. I think longer if it works with your ants, some will disregard it, mainly because how it was previously stored befote you get it, or whatever -but we can't know cause the active ingredient is " OTHER INGREDIENTS " they change the kill food every decade or so , and don't tell the public what we are buying. And if we do it could change back if they felt like it. Ants also are evolving to a lot of things slowly, but in my lab research that's on going with a the company we noticed a change over 20 years using and buying raid. The chemical in it not long ago, maybe 10-15 years was basically amphetamine sodium & salts with other, dangerous to be in the same room with for 5~ hrs. Chemicals. This has been a 35 year examination into chemical pratices and companies with long going tests, nkt just solvents but we are finsing a frustratingly high spike in dangerous products coming from Amazon. We tested a face masks for sleep we saw a youtube video about, fid the research , and now the company is not sold on Amazon anymore. We used a device that I'm sure have gotten very cheap that detects anything with radioactive material inside. A little is/has become semi nornal.in things, dangerous in other regards. You wear a face mask directly touching the nose, is a good way to get cancer if used regularly. This is a new plage , and we use high end multi millon dollar machine we used . All the stuff we do is NGO. When i get back to work after being in hospital after getting spit on for wearing a mask the day i returned from Doctors without Borders unit helping get basic antibiotics to a site in Europe, Mostly Africa and England where stock is low. He got me in the eye bad, im on a respirator, and very foggy, so pardon a long winded reaponse to a simple question. I've been in hospital for a few months. Its getting to me. Tldr; 3, months. The fire ants I'm referring towards are the red imported fire ants. The aggressive nasty biting ants in the southern US states that tend to build pretty large ant mounds. If the nest is pretty large, then it may take several baits and a few days to get rid of them. **Q: Sweet or grease?** A: No, these baits don't work on those types of ants. At least not the ones I have. I got those ants all over my kitchen. I put a couple of these baits down and the ants just run past them, ignoring them. They don't even go inside.
