For the electric unit you have to install an outlet behind the toilet and I didn’t want to do that much work at our current house. Anyways, I have to say that this little portable one is better than the non electric one. I fill the bottle with warm water (if water is room temp, it’s still comfortable to use.) I just bought two more for another bathroom and travel. It stays clean because you don’t touch anything with it. If it needs to be cleaned, it’s so easy. I would recommend for traveling.
