Review: Not easily LED - That’s the first thing I noticed, although the product description is somewhat vague in mentioning both “incandescent” and “LED”, so I guess they have it covered. I can’t even find LED’s as a choice for this model, which is absurd since a few explosions I have had the privilege of witnessing were actually caused by the shattering of the bulb and the filament set off a gas vapor cloud. Unlikely, but it was small and educational. There are LED bulbs for replacement of this tried and true (antique) bayonet bulb, (here's the 2 cell model FALANFA LED Upgrade Bulb Replacement for MagLite Flashlights Torch 3W 3V LDC ED Conversion Kit Bulbs 2 C 2 D Cell but as I describe later, not the easiest thing to change. If there is an LED model of the Bright Star (80 lumens- seriously?) hopefully this is the way they did it. So I don’t see why a torch (great name, thank you England) like this can be offered as a safety light, apart from meeting decades old standards and in fact being essentially a decades-old design. I know of what I speak having collected flashlights since my first Ray-O-Vac 12V lantern after weeks of throwing newspapers at 4AM. (the silly photo is only of the ones I found on a brief pass through the room) I see I am not the only one here with this type of cred, so let’s move on to the flashlight itself. Well, it’s lightweight, sturdy although I can and may prove it is not exactly indestructible. The switch is well built, and has a very positive feeling. It’s also a bitch to hit on the fly. As far as changing the bulb goes, and since it’s not LED you will need to, it’s also a bitch. The cage holding the base of the bulb nearly falls off, but then you have to work the lens free, and that took some practice. The spring securing the bulb from the lens side- I guess this adds to the explosion-proof theory- adds an element of difficulty to get centered as you snap the front end back together. Other than that, it’s a breeze. No way to easily hang the thing, instead of the pull-down loop usually found on other similar models, the end cap has three fins, probably for stability. The front allows a plastic cone to be snapped in place for traffic control. But you’ll have to find and buy this separately. Summing it up, with all the very cool new LED lights coming out in so many different configurations, this is more of a tool to be bought and passed out by an agency, not something I would purchase for use or even my collection, I already have too many relics.
Review: Miss description of the item - I received a 2 cell led flash light . As described it was 3 cell incandescent light. The led portion goes is irredicate when on. The led bulb costs as much as the flash light in replacement parts.

### ⭐⭐ Broke after first use
*by R***6 on June 20, 2018*

We live in the mountains and end up having quite a few storms where power is lost for a few minutes to several hours. Flashlights are a must, and truthfully we have quite the collection of them to get the family through should power be lost, for camping, in car emergency kits, and so on. This flashlight from Bright Star didn’t make it past one use. When it first arrived and I opened the package I thought something must be missing (other than batteries) because the flashlight weighed next to nothing. Even after adding the weight of batteries, this still had a ‘cheap quality’ feel to it. It made it through a couple hours of use before the light started to badly flicker. Thinking it may have been bad batteries, I put a new set in. The light kept flickering, so I unscrewed the end, and as the batteries slid out so did a chunk of orange plastic. I couldn’t see where it had come from, but after reloading the batteries the light wouldn’t work at all. The hubby tried his hand at taking it apart to see if something had broken internally, but he couldn’t find anywhere the chunk of plastic may have come from. Nothing he did could get the flashlight to work again, either, so off to the recycling bin it went.
