The mugs are heavy and look and feel robust when in use. The handles are sturdy and well constructed. They are indeed 100% copper and are NOT lined with stainless steel or nickel. They are however high maintenance and require special care to keep from tarnishing and developing that ugly patina. But it's not as difficult as it sounds.
