For an AR the low mount is not necessary and a waste of money. If you need a lower mount for a different weapon get the package with both height mounts for a few extra bucks. The buttons for brightness are nice and tactile, and provide an easy on/off and the auto ON/OFF not only saves battery and stretches the life of a CR2032 to it's max, but this system works very well. It shuts the LED off after 2 minutes and the very slightest movement re-activates the LED. This sight is SOLID. Highly recommended. This is their oldest ROMEO5 sight and that is why it is priced so well, they have released upgraded versions. This optic checks all the boxes for me. I have been a long time AimPoint user and this sight has really challenged everything I thought I knew about the cost to perfection ratio. You get everything that the higher end red dots come with but at a fraction of the cost and also weight. Yes this is a nice compact little red dot that has shown its worth over the years. Just search ROMEO5 torture tests and you will be amazed how tough this red dot really is. Why is this one even cheaper then the other ROMEO5's? It has a plain cardboard box and includes only the high mount not a low mount. So they saved some money there. But don't think that doesn't mean quality. Who really cares about the box and do you really need that low mount for your setup? Overall I would recommend this to anyone. My brother has 5 of them and that was the reason I decided to give it a try and see how I liked it. The SOR50000 only has the 1.41" mount.
