Attaches easily to tripod, a great turning base for any camera or other optic mount that uses a 1/4" stem. In function, it locks into place securely by tightening the side knob. Bubble level is nice too, visible when camera or camcorder installed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great for Seestar S50 telescope. *by C***Y on February 11, 2026* I bought this to use between my Seestar S50 and the tripod. When doing a compass alignment on the Seestar, you must rotate the unit around a time or two. This allows you to do that alignment without loosening the mount screw. It also allows for a very easy rough polar alignment. I use a wedge for EQ mode and the wedge has the fine adjustment for Polar Alignment but this allows me to set the tripod down in any orientation and get a good PA. It came with the 1/4 x 20 to 3/8 thread adapter so it matches the S50 mount perfectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little tight while panning. *by W***G on March 25, 2025* I'm using this on a dji osmo6 on a minopod for recording sports for my kids. Easy better then holding out up the whole time, I can now just twist the handle to pan left and right. It's a bit tight while turning though even after the knob is loosened all the way. I kind of fixed it by taking a drill attached it to the thread and just spun it a few thousand times.
