The directions say to use petroleum jelly around the eyebrows to avoid skin staining but I didn't use that and I was fine. It dries down sort of like henna which makes the removal a little difficult but I used a dry cloth initially then a spoolie brush to get some of the tint off before moving on to the next step. I did one application initially and only let it sit for 2 mins. Then i repeated the process a second time to get a bit darker tint. I've had both kits. I like this one better: first, it's easier to deal with even though there are 2 steps involved to this one; I was able to control the solutions better than with having to mix the capsules and apply a messier solution.
