I’ve tried a few different monitors in the past and decided to try Desview R7 after doing a bit of research online, it seemed like a great quality monitor with a good feature set at a reasonable price. I wanted an slim on camera monitor as the small screen on my Lumix camera is difficult to see when it’s sunny.I was really pleased when I received it. It looks great outside in the sun with a really powerful and bright touch screen that displays much better than I was expecting.It comes complete with a cold shoe adaptor, instructions, and high-quality carry bag/travel pouch to keep it protected. It doesn’t include a battery, so this is one this to be aware of. It has the features you would expect with false colours, focus peaking and at 1000 nits it’s nice and bright. The screen is 1920 x 1080 and supports a 4K signal.It has full size HDMI in and out and screw mounts on the bottom and on one side. The controls are easy to use and at the moment I’ve been enjoying using it. I’m pleased with my purchase and will update after I’ve spent more time with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for the price *by G***T on 12 March 2020* Good for the price. Some of the “features” are a farce. Good bright picture. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing spec field monitor! 1000 Nits & 4K screen *by S***D on 21 February 2020* There's enough reviews of this field monitor online so no real need to go into depth about it but this is hands down the best budget field monitor about at this price point.True 4K at 1920x1200 on a surprisingly good quality screen, which runs to 1000 nits brightness, but I rarely have it pushed beyond 500 (which is still brighter than most budget units).The tough screen is excellent, not on par with the very latest Apple offerings but its very good, at no point have i been left wanting more response.This came with the better 2 way tilt / rotate mount rather than the ball head type which is a godsend because when I'm doing interior photos you can whip the screen left and right without retightening. A ball mount would be a total pain for me.LUTS were easily uploaded from the included USB key and seemed pretty bang on for my canon.I use the small 2900mah batteries and get about 70-80 minutes of constant runtime. The larger units should yield somewhere around 3 hours.The only grumble I have (and its minor) is that they only give you one hex key. I suspect this is a leftover from an earlier version which used to ship with the ball head, but you need two allen keys to tighten the screen mount for tilt.
