This power supply may be fine for Pi 4s that aren't using beefy USB attachments, but it doesn't measure up to the claimed specs. When I tested this power supply with an electronic load the voltage varied quite a bit. At the typical Pi 4 idling current (0.7 A) the output was 5.2 V, which is fine as far as it goes. Simulate the significant peripheral draw from a USB attachment at 2.0 A, however, and the voltage has dropped to 4.9 V. At the full rated spec of 3.0 A the output had drooped down to 4.7 V.Now this power supply is far from the only one to not measure up to specs. And the Pi 4 has its own on-board voltage regulation, so for users who only attach a keyboard, mouse, and display this supply should be fine. But if I were attaching an SSD (often rated 1.5-1.7 A) and other things, I'd be thinking about using a powered hub -- which sort of defeats the low cost advantage of this product and others like it. From my testing the supplies from Canakit and Berls offer superior regulation at higher currents and aren't much more expensive. I also have one of those supplies using a small, round power switch and I was pleasantly surprised to find its output rock steady all the way to 2.8 A. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Does what is says BUT the cord is very short! *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2020* It powers my PI but the cord is only 3 feet! I was lucky that I use it but most people will need a longer cord.
