    Used to insulate an RV water hose

I bought these tubes to wrap around my RV's heated water hose which is a little thicker than a regular water hose. The seam is easy to slice open with a sharp box cutter and the last piece that was too long was easy to cut down. They even bend pretty well where the hose curves a little. I used what was left of the last tube to cover the bends. I wrapped black tape around the hose every few inches. So far so good. It's only been a few weeks with them on the outside hose. Let's see how they do all winter.

    Simple and Effective

I was under the impression that this product would have adhesive strips similar to those of a smaller diameter, but it does not.  "Pre-slit" means they're cut about halfway through so you have to finish the cut yourself.  Then you have to decide to either glue them back together once installed or just leave them be.  Other than that, it fits my 2" pipes just fine and should insulate them well.
