On unpacking, it was clear that no UK plug or converter had been supplied so I plugged the supplied European plug into a universal adaptor that I have used successfully and safely on many previous occasions. Unfortunately, on switching on the power at the mains, there was a loud bang, an explosion of sparks from the provided plug and a very strong smell of burning. I have no idea whether the video and audio quality of the box is any good as I immediately packed it up and sent it back. Es soll schließlich auch Filme, die ich mit diesem Codec auf der NAS habe, abspielen können. Vor allem kann ich nun endlich alle Receiver/Senderlisten im Haus mit DreamboxEdit auf dem aktuellen Stand halten. Als Image habe ich das der HDFeaks - OpenHDF - ausgewählt. Sind auch ein paar schöne Skins dabei, bei denen ich die Schriftart auch passend zur Sehstärke des Schwiegervaters etwas vergrößern kann. Die Fernbedienung ist jetzt nocht so optimal belegt wie z.B. bei der Dreambox, aber sie tut ihren Dienst. Optisch ist die Box jetzt auch nicht gerade der Brüller, aber dass ein Display vorhanden ist, das die Uhrzeit angezeigt, ist für den Schwiegervater wichtiger als das Design. Der kann jetzt alles weitaus einfacher bedienen als mit diesem besch... SkyQ Receiver, der nun endlich der Vergangenheit angehört. Die Box lässt sich leicht einrichten, reagiert sehr schnell, hat kurze Umschaltzeiten und Abstürze sind bisher keine vorgekommen. Also für den Preis ein absolutes Highlight, das ich wirklich empfehlen kann.
