For the money this thing is worth it!! No bag, but again for the money this thing is a brick of gold. Holds my Westcott FJ400 and 36" octobox up with no worries The first section of the stand appears to be about 1 1/2" thick with the 2nd being about an 1 1/4" and the 3rd about an 1". The legs appear to be 3/4" but that being said I think Neewer was trying to keep this as light as possible without sacrificing sturdiness.
