Review: Seems to be a great headset - Performance: - Works great with Google Hangouts. Though it doesn't let you use the hangup feature and the LED indicator also doesn't work. I knew this going in, so not deducting any points. Callers report that they can hear me very clearly, and for me it was also plenty loud. I listened to desertcart Prime Instant Video with them and it was very good quality especially for a headset. Set up: - I did have to tweak the settings for default devices to get things working (Windows 7 and 8), but drivers installed right away just as promised. Comfort: - It's a little tight on my ears after a while, but not as bad as many headsets I've used. The headband part was very comfortable though. Price: - More than i really wanted to pay, but given that I work from home and sit on meetings all day i suppose it's worth it.
Review: Great set of headsets - I just got these today so take this as my initial review after test driving them in an online class. I needed a headset for online teaching. I originally purchased the logitech h540 headsets but after 1 use I noticed that they USB connector didn't stay securely plugged in and the cord was tight and bent leading to a lot of feedback in the headset. I returned those and bought this set. I use these on a mac and set up was simply plug and play. This set is much lighter and more comfortable for extended wear. The headphones and the microphone are much better quality than the h540. The cord is the flat style rubberized cord which minimizes interference and allows the cord to stay out of the way unlike thick round cords which tend to bunch up and get in the way. An added bonus are the indicator lights which are great for knowing when you are muted.Overall I would say this is a win for anyone who needs a comfortable headset for Skype calls or online teaching. They are a bit on the hefty side but if you are using these for work they are probably worth the added cost compared to headsets in the $30-40 price range.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What version USB?**
A: The Logitech website only lists it as USB. It is working just fine for me in a USB 2 port.

**Q: Would the audio quality (listening to music) of these headphones satisfy an 'audiophile?'**
A: No they are not a high quality headphone they are ok for use as a talking headset but after an hour because they sit on your ears as to around them they start to hurt your ears

**Q: Does this headset act like a regular phone where the words spoken by the user come back through the earphones ? Thanks in advance.**
A: Yep! It's a "soft phone". I'm in IT and our department is initiating a process of having us work remotely 2 days out of the week. They tied our regular office number to Cisco Jabber so that when someone calls my regular extension, it rings on my computer and on my headsets ear piece. So what I see is a pop up asking me if I want to answer the call. So far I like the headset. Super clear and rather dummy proof since it's a true "plug-n-play". Callers have no idea that I'm not actually in the office and no idea that I'm answering my phone from my computer in my home. Its nice! :)

**Q: What side is the mic on, left or right?**
A: It doesn't matter the mic is adjustable to left or right.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good headset for online teaching
*by T***T on November 6, 2014*

I teach software classes over the internet which means I am at my desk eight hours per day. I needed a headset that would give great performance for sound (both my voice and the students) and was comfortable for all-day wear. I investigated several brands and almost pulled the string on a Jabra headset, but balked because of the price. Then the Logitech H650e came across my desk with good features and a better price. After using it for a while, here is my evaluation of it. Pros: Here are the things I wanted that it has. Stereo sound with coverage for both ears. Over-head band rather than behind-the-head band (like my last set). Business-class design and construction. This one is solidly built and feels like it will last a good long while. Great quality sound both incoming and outgoing. My students have given very good reviews of my voice quality and I can hear them clear as a bell. The set is generally very comfortable and includes a clip to keep the cable secured to my shirt so that the headset is not pull from my head when I move around or by the weight of the cable itself. The mute button on the cable is very handy, also. Cons: Some of the features of the headset are only activated when using compatible software. For example, the in-call indicator light is only useful when on a Skype or similar software call. It does not activate just because you are using the headset. Another issue is the volume of my own voice coming through the headset when I'm talking. Yes, my voice is there, but it is very low and I can find no way to adjust it. Mostly I hear my voice coming from outside the ear phones rather than through them. Less than satisfying, but not enough to send them back. I mentioned that the headset is generally comfortable. But I have noticed that by the end of the day, my ears are getting a little sore and I have to adjust the phones a little to make them feel more comfortable. Admittedly, that may just be my ears. Note: The call connect/disconnect button and the in-call indicator light just became less useful to me as Skype has stopped supporting those features (even though they say they still do). I was in a class and both features were working fine. I got the notice about a new Skype version and installed it. Now those features no longer work. Can't get anyone from Skype to answer my questions about the claim that the features are still supported. I've seen nothing from Logitech about this, either. If you use Skype, be aware.
