Read the sub hook instructions carefully. For my example, Sony CS9 requires both the speaker's wires and amplifier's wires connect to the subwoofer on its back with the amp's sub out cable connecting to sub in. These connections ensure the sub and amp functioning as a whole unit. **Q: Does it read normal usb flash drives like sandisk cruzer 128gb usb 2.0 flash drive?** A: [updated response] yes, it should work. tested it on a sandisk cruzer glide 64gb usb (2.0? not sure) works fine, not all but most (95%) the other usb drives i've test worked fine. there does seem to be an issue with some drives, like an old PNY drive (16GB USB 2.0) and/or how you format the disk, kinda works but songs will lag and pause for about 5 seconds then continue. i'm not sure if it has problems with the usb hardware version (e.g. 1.0 vs. 2.0 vs. 3.0), or the disk format (FAT vs. FAT32 vs. exFAT, **NTFS does not work**) or the USB disk size (their notes mention supporting up to 32GB). so for now i would recommend usb 3.0 or newer, 32GB, FAT32 format, i have tested all their supported (claimed) music file formats and they seem to work fine.
