The dialogue runs very smoothly, so kudos to Ms. Schilling and Ms. Aker. I hate it when dialogue is awkward and sounds like they just used an online translator. The book has FOUR color pages, need I say more? I probably don't, but I will. This company has always put out quality titles and products, so I know my money is well spent. And it's printed in the U.S.A. (yay! no outsourcing!)The stories: The book is made up of three stories, none of them connected to one another. The titular story, NightS, is the shortest one, but also the funniest one.Forbidden Love: NightS- A yakuza and a transporter meet in the dark of the night to do business with one another. Love yakuza stories and this one is not the exception. This is also the story of the book with the hot smex. Only one chapter plus a bonus story, but the characters are sad and funny at the same time. Well worth it.Young Love: Emotion Spectrum- Sweet story. High school boys fall in love with each other and cuteness ensues. Only one chapter, but what a wonderful chapter it is. Chaste kisses and hot hugs!Romantic Love: Reply-This story is the bulk of the book. And it's so romantic. A mechanic meets a car salesman. The salesman is described as a "cold hearted, poker faced guy" by someone and the mechanic as "cute." Their story is slow to develop and so very sweet. The extra chapter lets you see how the relationship progresses three months later. Aww.Kou Yoneda is able to successfully depict different kinds of love in this book. They are all great. They all leave you wanting more, as any good book should. Your money is well spent. Your NightS will be filled with love. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Collection *by M***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on April 11, 2014* This isn't my favorite Kou Yoneda. That honor goes to saezuru tori wa habatakanai, but they don't carry it on Amazon in English. I wish they did. However, her shorter works are amazing as well, and to put them all in a collection so you can own them all without tracking each one down individually (and probably paying more) is great. The stories have a really nice mixture of sweetness and conflict, and sometimes they can be really funny as well. Any time she's writing about the yakuza, the plot in her stories gets really fast-paced, but she never rushes through the romantic connections through her characters. There's no instant-love here; the psychology and relationships of the characters have more depth to them than a lot of characters in manga. My favorite story here is "Reply," which is about two young men who work at a car dealership and slowly realize their friendship is becoming something more, although one of them is more than a little conflicted about it.Also, the art is amazing. Even the smallest frames have the same kind of detail work as the cover, and her characters are always drawn with such precision and beauty. The translation is clear and has good grammar.
