Electromagnetic theory,photons and light 4. The propagation of light 5. Geometrical optics 6. More on geometrical optics 7. The superposition of waves 8. Polarisation 9. Interference 10. Diffraction 11. Fourier optics 12. Basics of coherence theory 13. Modern optics: lasers and other topics I think it will be enough for the understanding of the subject. The most beautiful thing is that the diagrams are very very beautiful actually you can see how linear,circular,elliptcal polarisation are happening you don't have imagine those stuff. It is very clear. The paper quality of the book is also nice. One of my friend found it so amazing that he requested me to order another for him. After all I will must recommend it for every undergraduate physics major.

It is the book that contains everything we will need in a standard undergraduate course. The contents is as follows 1. A brief history 2. Wave motion 3. Electromagnetic theory,photons and light 4.
