It's a darn sturdy box! The lid has an integrated/recessed edge with an interior groove that fits the round silicone gasket material (included, trim to fit) The lid stays securely mounted with 4 screws that appear to be #8 and around .750" overall length. The mounting flanges are close to .250" thick and are radiused at the lead-in, where they run parallel perpendicular to the sides of the enclosure. Radii everywhere inside & out so as to lessen the chance of fracture.I used one of my enclosures to mount an external temp controller & control circuits for an industrial oven. It stands up to the ~200°F temperature it must exist in and the plastic is holding up just fine.A really nice weather/watertight enclosure that's handy for many uses - indoors & outdoors.
