Initially, I thought that this purchase would just be a “play table” for my daughter and more importantly for her playdates. However it has morph into something far more. It fosters great father-daughter interaction. Because the stool is so sturdy and weight tested for adults, I have no qualms sitting at the table --- at my daughter's level for extended periods of time, As an urban apartment dweller, this has become our suburban equivalent of a kitchen table” or “breakfast table”. I have a Galley Kitchen, during meal preparation, I move the table and stools to the kitchen entrance and we “prepare” the meals together. This purchase has made my kitchen more accessible for my daughter. We occasionally eat breakfast at the table. YES the stool is reasonably comfortable for me at 6’ 0” and 200lbs. Much more importantly, I am completely confident that the stool will support me and not “give” in. My daughter uses this as an all-around activity and snack table. Her friends that come over LOVE the table. I have seen some comment by other reviewers that 2 stools are not enough. I have a Monte Design Cubino chair that serves as a 3rd chair when my daughter has two friends over at the same time. (I prefer 2 stools to 3 because it’s a smaller footprint.) . The circular top area on the stool is "spacious". ( for a 3 year old) Sometimes she has a snack sitting in her Monte Design Cubino chair and the stool acts as a “table”! ( So its versatile) I also use a stool for myself when giving her a bath and my back thanks Sodura Furnature.! It is better than the step stool that I previously used. People say “table is expensive”. Well, I feel it is the best value for the dollar. For a price point 35%-50% more than P’Kolino . ( where I have only had problems) I definitely got something in the quality level of Newport Cottages , Dwell Studio, Oeuf, Bellini, Cherner ( probably higher quality than these "yuppie" brands ) , at a lower price. With the free shipping and no sales tax , you absolutely can’t go wrong with this table and stool set. Oh and I usually have to pay a porter in my apartment building to assemble things for me. I usually “outsource” assembly. :) I am not particularly handy. I did this myself in 20 minutes, only because I read the instructions several times before starting. I’ll add it was a frustration-free 20 minutes and someone handier than me could do it in half the time. True 10 minute assembly. The one thing to be aware of is that the picture depicts THREE stools. However, you only get 2. Extra stools are available for purchase. While I did extensive research and read the description carefully, a more casual “one click” purchaser should be aware that you don’t get everything in the picture.
