I noticed the tone of my engine is a little meaner, not by much though. I bought this mainly to have a reusable filter. I was attracted to this particular model because it's a dry filter. I don't like the idea of having to oil my filter since I hear it is very easy to over-oil them. Installation was very straight-forward with the only suggestion being that the weatherstripping that goes along the top edge of the box would be easier to install if a small channel was cut around the top and the weatherstripping could lock into that.
