It's attractive with the boot knife look that dagger pointed knifes promote, with a look of dread to those gazing down the shaft from the pointy end. It does have a good balance which I think feels right in the hand. The Old Timer Name hold a sort of reverence to those like me, the utility use of knives having been a part of most of my life, playing and working. The sheath is hefty leather which is made to hold the blade loosely, not a fitted sheath like so many custom made knife sheaths, and this one is almost unnoticed on the belt sitting in the back pocket of my jeans. Its possibly the ugliest knife I own. That being said it's a great workhorse of a knife. It can take & hold a razor sharp edge & is sturdy enough for almost any task you could throw at it. The full size handle provides a good grip. Being a single edge blade it can be used for many things that a double edge knife can't. The only real issue I have with this knife is the sheath. For a "Boot" knife it has a cheapish poor quality leather belt sheath. While the knife is a great value you might want to consider purchasing a different sheath.
