So once I heard that Mark T. Smith of EITS and Matthew Cooper - the man behind the Eluvium moniker - were teaming up as a creative duo a la Hammock and Mountains, I was incredibly excited. Needless to say, I was not remotely disappointed once I received and listened to this record.When two artists with various records under their belt come together to create music, there is always the inherent danger that the new project will end up sounding too much like the accomplishments of one or both of the musicians. That is, thankfully, not the case with Invention's debut.
