No side effects. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sleep *by K***M on April 8, 2026* Good for sleep ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this stuff *by V***Y on December 14, 2012* I love this stuff I suffer from severe insomnia. Usually I'll go to sleep right away but then awaken 4 hrs later and can not go back to sleep. So every night I take 2 capsules, which is the normal dose. I take one as I'm going to bed, I lay the other one on my headboard and when I wake up in 4 hrs I take the other one. I know it's not the ideal way to sleep but it's the best remedy I've found so far. I've tried everything under the sun and nothing will seem to help me. I was hoping the melatonin, 5htp supplement I was trying would help me to get a full nights sleep but it didn't. So this Valerian is the best thing I've found for me so far. UPDATE 4/8/2013 Recently it seemed that after the 3 or 4 hours of initial sleep the 2nd Valerian was not working as well. I was determined to try to get to the bottom of what was causing me to not sleep good. I felt for sure that it was a deficiency. So my search began again and I came upon a product called "Sleep Minerals 11" by Nutrition Breakthroughs. After just a couple of days of taking them I began sleeping for 7 or 8 hours a night. I have probably never done that in my life. Maybe a short while in my 20's but I'm amazed. For now I'm still taking my Valerian with the minerals because it's working so good and I'm afraid to not take the Valerian with it. I don't know if I need the Valerian along with the minerals or not. But for now, I'm taking them both. After I enjoy these 7 & 8 hours of sleep a night for a while I'll get brave and try it without the Valerian. However, I take one Valerian when I go to bed, put the other one on the headboard to take if I wake up and so far, it is always still laying on the headboard when I wake up in the morning. THIS IS AMAZING FOR ME!! As I had a chronic problem every night.
