The handset is VERY light and that might not be what some people want. One thing to take into consideration when using handsets with HTs. HTs are designed to be best used in conjunction with your body. Specifically, with you holding onto the radio while transmitting and receiving. So, be aware that when your radio is sitting in a radio pouch attached to your body or backpack, performance may decrease slightly to significantly depending on how strong the signal is coming into your HT.
