  ).  This book alone will not suffice if you don't have the foundational study and memorization skills you need.  Start in your undergrad years working on developing your memorization, note taking, time management, and study skills, and THEN this book will be a big help.  It's a book, not a magic lamp, so make sure you are capable of absorbing the useful information contained within it.  As the author repeatedly states, it is best if you use the book to help you develop some of your own mnemonics.I found the book easy to read, easy to search through for specific info, and quite funny.  I have plenty of dull books to read already, so something that makes me chuckle is very welcome!

I got this book while studying for my Nurse Practitioner boards-- it has a lot of great little memory aids. For instance, the author has a poem to help you recall the key dermatomes (C1-C4, C5 & C6, C7, C8, T1, T4, L1, L2, L3, L5, S1, S2, S3,S4, and S5) and interpolate the rest.Although most clinicians probably know some of the mnemonics in here, there are sure to be some new ones.The book also introduces one to memorization techniques such as Location & PEG systems. It is a good brief discussion of how to use them to memorize information. A more detailed book, with a wider variety of techniques along with citations regarding how your memory works, is

The book is great for review and is small enough to fit inside any purse, bag, or to just carry around.I'm giving it -1 star because inside the pages are all highlighted with hot pink or blue. I think it would be better to use a more variety of colors since its used to help study.
