We live close to our school and I purchased it for her to ride back and forth with. So far it's worked great. She did take the chalk out though on the first day because she said it kept falling out of the holders. But we haven't had any of the scraping issues other people said they've had so I didn't bother taking the springs off that hold the chalk on. It came completely assembled which was a major bonus as far as I'm concerned and it seems well built. The price and quality seem great and I am very happy with my purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chalk Pedal Removal Instructions - Easy with right tools. *by C***D on January 29, 2015* I bought it for my kid because it was on deep markdown at half the price of a Razor A and with the intention of immediately removing the chalk pedal entirely.It's a standard Razor A (not A2 with the wheelie back bar and front shock absorber) scooter with a slightly longer platform by 2 inches in the back.I know there is another review that says the chalk pedal is very difficult to remove, but it is fairly easy.You will need a small screwdriver, small pliers, two (2) 5mm (metric size, not SAE) Allen wrenches - circle clip pliers are optional.To remove the chalk pedal:1) There is one pin and one bolt holding the chalk pedal together. Remove the circle clip from the forward chalk pedal Pin. If you have standard "circle clip pliers" then this step is super easy. I just used a small screwdriver to separate and bend one end of the clip up with a twist, then needle nose pliers to twist it completely off. I used an index card on the metal frame to prevent scratching, but it is a kid's scooter that's going to be banged up and dropped anyway. This is the most difficult part if anything, but about as challenging as bending a paper clip with pliers.2) Two (2) 5mm Allen wrenches are required to remove the rear pedal bolt and rear wheel axle. The rear wheel drops down and must be removed to get the inside black plastic spacers out. Be aware there is a cylindrical crush collar between the rear wheel bearings. It's trapped between the 2 cartridge bearings and won't fall out, just be aware it's there for reassembly.3) When both 2 bolts and 1 pin are out there are 2 black plastic spacer sleeves about 4 inches long each on either side inside the rails that just slide out backward with the chalk pedal; they are not glued in and should not be stuck in any way. The whole assembly just falls out loosely.4) Reassemble the black plastic spacers with the rear wheel being sure to line up the cylinder crush spacer between the bearings, or else the axle bolt won't push through and line up. The axle bolt longer female side with the washer goes on the rear wheel and the final assembly of the wheel should be tight with no lateral play or slop (this is what the internal crush cylinder is for). The pedal axle bolt female side did not have a washer.5) It's your choice whether to just throw out the pin and chalk pedal bolt, they are not needed. I personally just thought they just added unnecessary weight that would hit my kid's legs and ankles so I threw them out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great scooter *by L***Z on January 9, 2012* My son is 5 and wanted this for Christmas, I ordered it to Mexico and it arrived before the due date! I could not believe the product had cleared customs in just half an hour. And that the same day the goods arrived to Mexico they were delivered to my door. Excellent delivery process from Amazon!!Besides this, my son just loves playing with his scooter, he has already fallen several times but hey, it's part of the experience of having a scooter. The product is well built and besides he hasn't used the chalks just yet, we have to find a street where to do some nice art work :-)My son is happy and I couldn't ask for more from Amazon. I just love that these products are being sent to Mexico, it just opens new possibilities for children here to have different kinds of toys.
