It was easy to put on and stay on my head, and I could tell that I was protected because it was a bit more difficult to breathe in the air, since you're almost completely blocking the air from entering anywhere near your face. Once you remove the protective cover, it's quite sheer and is similar to looking through a window. It will be a bit reflective if there is sunlight. I'd say the size of the shield was a bit too large for me since it was fairly easy to accidentally hit things when I moved my head around. I probably should have gotten a child one instead (I have a pretty small face, fit child size face masks). Wearing it for a ~5 hour flight was not too uncomfortable. I live in Houston. VERY HUMID. This is perfect. I can breath. No so with those mouth masks. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 star rating was because it got dirty fast and it did interfere with visibility. I need to bring something to clean it with as I go. Once clean you forget you even have it on. Its very comfy too. Also once you enter the stores you still feel the cool air with the shield.
