There are many vegetarian cookbooks out there authored by people who never tested those recipes. But this one from a real chef is a keeper. Love the directory in the end with dishes listed under the country the dish is from.

get this book. I've bought quite a few  vegetarian and vegan cook books but none of them have had me coming back to try new recipes.I've loved pretty much every recipe ive tried so far.I've made the1.lentil and tomato soup :2.Bengali royal rice pg 13 :out of this world.3.rice with green peas and almondsthe only hting i dont like about this book is the amount of fat it calls for but that can be a quick fit by reducing the fat to your likeing.it also require a well stocked spice cabinet.this book has given me confidence in the kitchen to try different things

I have two of Kurma Dasa's cookbooks and his cooking video series. He is a gifted cook with a deep knowledge of food and flavours. His recipes are delicious, they are easy to follow and the results are wonderful. There are a wealth of recipes for all occasions. I am still developing my cooking skills so it is wonderful to be able to cook and get tasty and healthy results. I have a very sensitive digestive system and have tried many different diet approaches over the last seven years. I now follow the wise Ayurvedic diet (food as medicine) because the spices and cooking methods make food easy to digest. This book is not specifically Ayurvedic but most recipes meet the approach. I highly recommend this book.
