My photo shows one planted with 6 succulent cuttings with no roots so the small size of this will be fine for a few months. The other planter I just placed 2 inch nursery pots in for now as I decide whether I want to plant 6 of them or keep the 7 of them in their nursery pots. Because the inside dimensions of this is 14x2, it fits 7 of the standard 2 inch nursery pots exactly. Note the interior dimensions of 14x2 versus the description showing 14.6x2.6 which are the exterior dimensions.
