The second book goes deeper in how to develop successful models using player data. Andrew also touches lightly on basic Bayesian applications and a recommendation for further reading. Andrew keeps his book on point for the general sports betting group who takes their hobby seriously- but does not have the time to learn more advanced coding like Python or R. He describes his method of modeling- and provides the reader the ability to gain a slight edge over the sportsbook. Do not read this book for the easy answer on how to win at sports gambling. Andrew does NOT promise riches or a 90% win rate. He is honest and lets you know- to win against the book- you have to work hard and look for an edge. However- the author gives you a definite headstart in learning how to model at a player level and enough information to develop winning player props. This book is mandatory for anyone who wants to take their sports predictions to the next level. Excellent follow up- I highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very practical book *by J***F on February 25, 2021* I’ve been interested in building a sports model for a while and have tried to pull a lot of nuggets out of the many books on the subject, but had difficulty going from thoughts to actual model. This book, and the previous book in this series, got me over the hump. The author does a great job tying everything together in a clear and logical way that really balances math and theory well. The templates are good examples to really help you get going on your own ideas. I use R for programming but the concepts here are extremely transferrable.
