I want to say the material IS different from the BB/RT, but I do find they work the same; this one is the slightest bit less porous.Unfortunately they are somewhat unpleasant to bounce against the face, but it's nothing I can't tolerate especially as I'm too lazy to return.For the value, they are not bad at all and I will continue to purchase them again unless I want to go back to the RT shape, which is what I prefer. I find that foundation still goes on as flawlessly as ever; the only thing is is that, again, they're not as comfortable as the BB/RT.If this is your first sponge to try, I really don't think you'd think notice anything bad. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Why Not? *by J***W on Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2016* Why buy more expensive sponges when you can have all these bad boys at a great price! I gotta be honest, I haven't used all of them because I'm just a girl trying to learn more about application-- mostly by watching youtube videos (can I get an Amen!!) but even my daily normal easy makeup routine has found a place for these applicators. Try it out, I think you'll like it. If not, you can always paint with them or find some other type of use. Trying a natural look with the makeup. Blended makeup wonderfully.
