This does not impede its use, and people make homemade landmines with a piece of PVC pipe, so the lack of "rock solid" construction is not a practical issue, IMO.There were included anchors for mounting, but mine is attached to a plate tree that uses 2x2" tubing. It could just as easily be screwed to a board.
