**Q: what part is connected to this called? cant find the white knob thing ?**
A: Wish I had a better answer 😐
It is called a thumb knob but you will not find it as individual part it is sold mounted to the faceplate as is the opening handle. I would suggest going to your local Re-Store/Habitat to hopefully find a used one, a new faceplate is around $200 from Anderson.

**Q: Is this one piece or two. When I inspect mine, the inch-long rectangular cylinder part comes out. Does that mean it is broken?**
A: It is broken. return it for another one. The two pieces are supposed to be joined together from the factory. I'm a locksmith. I purchased one to replace a part that had separated on a customers door

**Q: Is this the part that springs the handle back in place when latching the 3 point lock. Right now my handle just sags but still locks.**
A: No, this piece actually locks the turning knob. My knob kept turning and wouldn’t latch to lock. This fixed that issue.

A: I don't know if it is the Original Equipment Manufacturer but it does match the OEM part exactly and works very well.
